The Latino Educational Media Center, dedicated to documenting the contributions of Latinos through digital media, salutes Elisha Miranda, Sofia Quintero and Sonia Gonzalez-Martinez for their individual contributions to our community through their literature, plays and films.

We especially are thankful for their vision and determination in creating Chica Luna Productions that provides an outlet for women of color's multi-faceted voices and the chronicling of "herstories." Through the F-Word, Chica Luna provides access to media making for women of color - each woman graduates the program with a narrative film in hand and is a leader in her own right.

You are renaissance women and have given selflessly for years. It is now your time to shine.
