
WHAT ABOUT...? SHOW
Our What About...? Show is show produced for the Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) by our F-Word participants. In an effort to create dynamic programming that appeals to young women of color and offers a space to develop both a feminist and racial justice analysis, Chica Luna's F-Word participants will develop program that addresses issues relevant to the struggles and experience of young filmamkers of women of color.
EACH EPISODE WILL CONSIST OF:
- An interview with the writer/director of each film;
- The screening of a film produced by the women of the F-word.

Yahaira "J" Paulino
Yahaira Paulino born in the Dominican Republic, but a New Yorker at heart, is an Actor/Filmmaker and Youth advocate. She currently works on various art projects, both film and stage, with inner-city youth in New york City. Upon her success with the 2006 New York International Latino Film Festival's debut of her F-Word short film, RECUERDOS (MEMORIES); she's now in pre-production for UNARAZA (ONERACE), a documentary on her search to find her identity, in the racial/ethnic sancocho that is to be Dominican. - "If you don't know something then learn! The discovery is sweeter by how connected you are to the search of your truth".
PattyDukes
PattyDukes is a phenomenal latina Hip-Hop artist, emcee, actress, writer and filmmaker. Dominican and Puerto Rican by way of the Boogie Down Bronx, PattyDukes is the 2007 Cuervotón Winner. Traveling the country speaking and performing at schools, community centers and juvenile detention centers. PattyDukes recently played the role of Nancy in The Culture Project production of Danny Hoch's Till Da Break of Dawn. PattyDukes’ has performed in venues in the US and abroad like The Public Theater, The Apollo Theater Sound Stage Festival with Big Voices & Mark Russell Projects, The NYC Hip Hop Theater Festival, Yale University, NYU, & The Royal Shakespeare Company New Works Festival in Stratford England. As an F-Word Alumni, Patty wrote and directed the short hip-hop film On Everything I Love.
